You can limit who can open and submit a fund’s application form based on the visitor’s network country (detected from their IP address).
This is separate from where applicants can be based (radius, boundaries, or drawn shapes). Those settings guide eligibility for where a project or organisation is located. Country access restriction controls who can reach the form itself.
What it does
When a country restriction is on:
Visitors from blocked countries see a message that the application isn’t available in their country, and cannot view the form questions.
Submission is also blocked on the server, so the restriction can’t be bypassed by posting answers another way.
Funders previewing their own form, and people continuing an existing application, are not blocked.
Detection is best-effort. Proxies and VPNs can make someone’s location look different from where they really are.
How to set it up
Open the fund you want to configure.
Go to the fund setup / edit flow and open the Funding step (the step that includes geographic settings).
Scroll to Country-based access restriction.
Choose a Restriction mode:
No restriction — anyone can open the form (default).
Allow only listed countries — only visitors detected in the countries you list can open or submit.
Block listed countries — everyone can open or submit except visitors detected in the countries you list.
If you chose Allow or Block, select one or more Countries from the list.
Save the fund.
You must add at least one country when Allow or Block is selected. To turn the feature off again, set the mode back to No restriction.
Your choice also appears on the fund overview under Country access restriction.
What applicants see when blocked
They get a Go back button and do not see the application questions.
Who is not blocked
When you’re logged in as the organisation that manages the fund, you can always preview your own form.
